Description

Lionel Pearman was an editor and Doreen Lightbourn was a writer for The Worker’s Voice newspaper, which thrived as a result of their hard work and dedication. Mrs. Lightbourn and Mr. Pearman were strong supporters of the BIU and vocal advocates for the rights of working people.

Applicants for the 2010 Doreen Lightbourn / Lionel Pearman Award will have completed a project or original research on an aspect of Bermuda’s history or culture. Submissions may take the form of a book, a film, a published article, or related media. Eligible submissions will have been completed no earlier than 1 January 2009.

Prize: $500
